Camp Creek Playground
Description: This is a recreational property that is diverse. There are 100ft of road frontage on Ferrell Road which is a quiet county-maintained road. You have over 3,100 ft of creek frontage on Camp Creek. This is a clear rather large stream that has large mature hardwoods all along on both sides. There are 25 acres that were the heart of a successful fish hatchery for many years. With this acreage, a great old hatchery barn still overlooks beautiful Camp Creek. This barn is on a slab with electricity and appears to be well built. It sits about 800 ft from the road tucked into the landscape. There are a couple of larger old ponds that still are attractive and could be functional for your family's fishing needs. The other smaller ponds could be filled back in with little cost. The material to fill in the old ponds is still there in the dams and sides.
The back 60 acres is a whitetail’s sanctuary. It is mostly natural regeneration with good hardwoods up and down the SMZ. A road system needs to be installed for access through this property to better take advantage of its potential. I would install 2 deer plots on these sixty acres to create a for sure honey hole for deer hunting.
